The Katy Trail State Park is the longest developed rail-trail in the United States.   The trail is built on the former Missouri - Kansas - Texas Railroad corridor.  The 80 miles that your team will be covering is flat as a pancake.  It is also very scenic and closely follows the Missouri River.

The Katy 80 trail run provides a snapshot of what makes Missouri unique.  You will run through small towns, the larger metropolis of St. Charles, and meander your way along the old railroad corridor that reflects the rich heritage of Missouri.
